Sorry about the dirth of communication. We have been out of internet and cell phone range for several days now, and when it is available, it has been by satellite.
The highway (Icefields Parkway) between Banff and the town of Jasper was beautiful. Too much scenery to list. This is the lower and upper Tangle Falls:

The Matanuska Glacier:

Ice caves along side the moraine left by the receding Matanuska Glacier. The ground on both sides of our path were frozen solid.

Gouge marks left in the rock by the advancing glacier:
Road leading from the overlook lodge to the middle of the glacier. Massive Glacier busses use this route to take people for a “glacier walk”.

If you look close, you can see the busses and people walking on the surface of this glacier:

A good look at a glacial moraine:

A series of views from the parkway. Notice the depth of the snowfields:

Sunwapta Falls on the Matanuska River:

Saw this guy between Jasper and our campsite. The spread on his antlers must have been six feet:
We saw this beaver (actually three beavers actively working during a hike near our campsite. It was very dark and raining profusely, evidenced by rainbow shot in the next frame:

Great report and pictures. Got worried though, thought you might have gotten eaten by a mountain lion. Ha.
