Wind at the top of Logan Pass was intense. It blew over my tripod but made for a “uncrowded” evening. This is the first day we actually got to park in the parking lot. We were alone at this viewpoint. Have not been able to get here all week as the parking areas had wait times. I don’t wait.
This goat is tagged for tracking. This is the same goat we saw on the highland trail. He didn’t seem to mind the wind. We saw six bighorn sheep just down the road and our first moose of the trip. The moose was eating in the underbrush and I was unable to capture it with my 17mm lens. No worry, we are sure we will get tired of moose once we get to Banff and Anchorage.
View from the top of the pass, looking down the canyon. Shot from the edge of a 700′ vertical cliff. While I was out shooting scenery, Cathy was watching a mountain goat that passed between us but lost it when it went vertical in a pile of boulders. Other than that, we were alone.
Unnamed cascades along the way.
Travel Day! In the morning we are heading to Cochrane, Alberta, about 350 miles. Met a couple of young women from Edmonton who recommended we visit “Head Smashed In” buffalo jump on the way to Calgary. We are assuming it will be very similar to Vore Buffalo Jump (WY) and are deviating from our planned route to make this stop.
Cool pix, glad to see you are still shooting and lots of cool stuff to shoot!

Thanks Dusty. It has been a while and I am still learning how to operate the camera . . . Hard to make bad shots with the scenery here!
