We saw our first Wood Bison between Ft. Nelson and Laird Hot Springs. Wood Bison have been recently reintroduced to Alaska and are larger than the typical plains bison found in the states. Met a gentleman in camp that had his truck destroyed by two males fighting.

Spent the night in Laird Hot Springs Provincial Park. The hot springs were incredible. All natural setting. The trail was closed beyond this site due to bear activity. A ranger told me that bear, grizzly and black both feed on the berries at the springs. Didn’t get to see one. The water exits the ground at 126 degrees farenheit
.
This is the springs where we soaked for a couple of hours. Very relaxing after a days drive. Sorry, no pictures of us in our bathing suits. . .

We are now in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory.
